The ORIGINAL question of: What are tears of joy? " made me smile, because I've experienced" tears of joy" many, many times throughout life. These tears usually occur whem I'm least expecting them.
If I'm watching a movir and see 2 people finding true love after enduring great hardships, I feel so happy for them that I start to cry. If it's not a movie and I get to experience seeing that occur, it has a much deeper jolt.
To have a friend or pet return after being lost for a period time. I think most of us become so happy and grateful that we can't hold back tears from our being do greatful. The same is true when a loved one tells about escaping a near - death experience praying alone or with another person that can't be explained.
Certain songs will bring "tears of joy" while feeling the music go from the ears to the heart. If one hasn't experience "tears of joy" yet, kerp living and feeling, and it's bound to happen. Don't return these tears of joy off, they are really cleansing and beneficial (Chase).
