UAP Qatar Celebrates 14th Founding Anniversary and 1st General Membership Meeting for Fiscal Year 2024-2025



The United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) Qatar Chapter successfully held its 1st General Membership Meeting (GMM) and celebrated its 14th Founding Anniversary on September 20, 2024, at the Dusit D2 Salwa Hotel. The event, led by Chapter President Arch. Jayson Z. Santos and supported by the UAP Qatar Board of Directors and Committee Heads, was a significant gathering of Filipino architects in Qatar, focusing on professional development, unity, and celebration.

The event featured a seminar titled “Unifying Diverse Expertise: Filipino Architects on Shaping Qatar's Future”, with insightful talks from notable speakers Arch. Miluna S. Alegada, Arch. Arecles A. Balde, and Arch. Lyndon S. Calibuso. Their discussions highlighted the vital contributions of Filipino architects in Qatar and the importance of unifying diverse expertise to influence the country's architectural future.


The occasion was graced by special guests, who delivered congratulatory messages, including:

More than 100 members of the UAP Qatar Chapter took part in the celebration, demonstrating the unwavering support and active engagement of the Filipino architectural community in Qatar.


The evening’s festivities were enhanced by the soulful performance of the acoustic duo Kristine and Jun, accompanied by RJ Francis of Cuecast, under the leadership of Mr. Israel “Sky” Malabanan. Their music provided the perfect ambiance for the gathering, adding to the event's celebratory atmosphere.


This significant occasion marked a moment of unity, professional development, and the continued success of the UAP Qatar Chapter. The chapter extends its gratitude to all members, guests, and participants whose contributions made the event a memorable success.
